Camp Legacy Georgia INC
is a 501c3 non profit organization founded to bridge the gap between the youth and its elders while strengthening the family unit. With over 20 years of experience working with various organizations in the community, our founder recognized the need for a new approach to addressing the challenges facing families and individuals in our area.
Since our founding, we have worked tirelessly to provide innovative and effective resources and services to families in need. Our team of experienced and compassionate therapists and counselors have helped countless families overcome communication barriers, develop effective strategies for addressing challenges, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships with their loved ones.
As a 501c3 organization, we are committed to serving our community with transparency and integrity, and rely on the support of donors and volunteers to help us achieve our mission. We are proud to be a part of this community, and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of families and individuals in the years to come.
Our Programs
We currently offer 5 programs:
"Family Time Adventures"
Family Time Adventures is a program that focuses on creating memorable and transformative experiences for families, encompassing the elderly, at-risk youth, and other family members. The program aims to strengthen family bonds by providing opportunities for shared adventures, learning, and personal growth. Through a series of structured outdoor activities, workshops, and retreats, families will embark on a journey of self-discovery, relationship-building, and mutual support.
Family Empowerment Hub"
The Family Empowerment Hub is a comprehensive resource center that focuses on strengthening family units through a holistic approach. The program provides support and resources for the elderly, at-risk youth, and families as a whole. The hub offers a range of services, including counseling, workshops, educational programs, recreational activities, and access to community services. By addressing the unique needs of each demographic and offering opportunities for shared experiences, the program aims to create resilient, cohesive, and empowered family units.
"Generations Connect"
Generations Connect is an intergenerational mentorship program aimed at fostering meaningful connections between the elderly and at-risk youth. This program recognizes the wisdom and experience of seniors and the potential for positive influence they have on young lives. Through regular one-on-one interactions, group activities, and workshops, the elderly mentors will provide guidance, emotional support, and life skills to the youth, while the youth will offer companionship, tech-savviness, and energy to their elderly counterparts. This program not only helps bridge the generation gap but also strengthens family units by instilling values of respect, empathy, and community involvement.
"Family Wellness Retreats"
Family Wellness Retreats are immersive programs designed to promote family bonding while prioritizing mental health and overall well-being. These retreats offer families a break from their daily routines, allowing them to recharge, reconnect, and develop coping strategies for managing stress and maintaining mental wellness. Through a combination of relaxation activities, mindfulness practices, and therapeutic sessions, families can strengthen their emotional bonds and develop resilience together.
"Family Resilience Workshops"
The Family Resilience Workshops program focuses on building emotional resilience and coping skills within family units. These workshops offer a safe space for families to explore and understand their emotions, learn healthy coping strategies, and support each other during challenging times. By equipping families with the tools to navigate adversity and stress, this program enhances overall mental health and strengthens family bonds
